The challenge was immense: Microsoft Ignite 2025, one of the world's largest tech conferences, was just 13 days away.
We were tasked with producing five high-stakes promotional videos showcasing complex AI integrations (featuring partners like ADP, ROX, LSEG, Blue Yonder, and Sophos) within the Microsoft ecosystem.
This wasn't a request for a simple slide deck. The goal was to weave compelling, human-centric stories that demonstrated the real-world value of AI in the workplace. We had to do this while navigating dozens of stakeholders on an incredibly tight deadline.
This phase was all about execution and rapid iteration. My role was to act as the central "glue" between the scriptwriter, the UI design, and the animation team.
Story-Driven Storyboards: I developed detailed storyboards that went beyond simple visual layouts. They became our single source of truth, containing explicit animator notes, stakeholder feedback, and clear requests for changes.
Taming Stakeholder Feedback: With dozens of stakeholders, feedback could have easily derailed the entire project. We implemented a system using Frame.io to capture time-stamped, in-context comments.
Actionable Assets for Animation: My responsibility was to ensure this feedback loop was airtight. I personally translated all comments into actionable changes on the master storyboard files. I used clear visual language (like highlighting critical notes in red) to ensure the animation team knew exactly what to focus on. This systematic approach prevented miscommunication and saved priceless revision time.
The outcome was a testament to a small, focused team operating with a bulletproof process.
On Time, On Target: We successfully delivered all five high-impact promotional videos in just 13 days. They debuted on schedule at Microsoft Ignite 2025.
Stakeholder Acclaim: The streamlined feedback process was a massive success. The final product was universally approved with minimal friction, proving that complex projects with many stakeholders can be managed efficiently.
A Story, Not a Slideshow: The final videos successfully transcended a typical "product demo." They told compelling, integrated stories about AI in the workplace, receiving high praise for their narrative clarity and visual polish.
